IANTD Rebreather Courses

ART Rebreather Diver

This IANTD Rebreather Program is designed to train competent divers in the safer use and technology of CCR (Closed Circuit Rebreather) for dives requiring decompression.

It is also especially useful to train CCR divers who wish to dive up to 45 m as part of the Advanced Recreational Trimix course in which case the END will not exceed 30 m when using Trimix as diluent

Prerequisites IANTD Rebreather ART:

  • IANTD EANx Diver or equivalent
  • IANTD Deep Diver or RCCR Deep Diver or equivalent
  • Proof of 50 logged dives (60 logged dives for IANTD Rebreather ART Plus)
  • Min. 18 years old
Duration:
  • Min. 1 confined water dive and 6 open water dives with a total of 500 min in water training using the specific Rebreather on which they are being trained
  • Max. depth for dives with air as a diluent is 40 m
  • 2 dives must be deeper than 15 m
  • 2 dives must be between 40 and 45 m
  • Additional Advanced Recreational Trimix Diver Plus requirements:
    (no dives may be conducted to depths greater than 51 m)
  • 2 extra dives with a total run time of 60 min:
  • At least 1 dive must be between 40 and 45 m
  • At least 1 dive must be between 42 and 51 m
