CCR Normoxic Trimix Diver

This IANTD Rebreather Program is designed to train divers in the safer use of CCR for dives using normoxic helium-based gas mixtures.

The knowledge and skills taught in this program are designed to qualify divers to perform Normoxic Trimix Dives up to 60 m or Normoxic Trimix Plus dives up to 70 m.

Prerequisites IANTD Rebreather Normoxic Trimix :
  • IANTD Advanced EANx Diver or equivalent
  • IANTD Rebreather Deep Diver or RCCR Deep Diver or equivalent
  • 100 logged dives of which at least 25 rebreather dives and 50 hours on the unit with at least 50% of them logged on the same CCR to be used in the course
  • At least 30 dives were deeper than 27 m
  • Min. 18 years old
Duration:
  • Min. 1 confined water dive and 5 open water dives with a total of 360 min in water training using Air, EANx or Trimix.
  • Max. depth for dives with air as a diluent is 40 m
  • For dives till max. 60 m depth the Diluent ppO2 must not exceed 1.1 ATA during the working portion of the dive and may not have an END greater than 39 m
  • 3 dives must be deeper than 40 m
  • 1 dives must be between 54 and 60 m
  • Additional Normoxic Trimix Plus Diver requirements:
    (no dives may be conducted to depths greater than 70 m)
  • 1 extra dive must be done between 63 m and 70 m with a total min. run time of 55 min
  • For dives below 60 m the Diluent ppO2 must not exceed 1.12 ATA during the working portion of the dive and may not have an END greater than 39 m
