IANTD Technical Diver Instructor

The IANTD Technical Diver Instructor Program is designed to provide a more in-depth knowledge of EANx, Oxygen, and of technical diving applications.

Technical Instructors are charged with teaching divers to use custom blends of EANx for bottom mix, travel mixes and decompression mixes. Maximum depth during the course 51m.

Technical Diver Instructors may teach Open Water Diver through Tec Diver.

Prerequisites IANTD Technical Diver Instructor :
  • Min. 21 years old
  • Must be qualified as an:
  • IANTD Advanced EANx Instructor in active teaching status
  • IANTD Technical Diver or equivalent
  • Must have taught a min. of 8 IANTD courses
  • Must have a min. of 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Must provide proof of a min. of 350 logged dives, of which at least 100 were deeper than 40m and at least 40 dives breathing EANx or other mixtures and requiring decompression stops.

Duration:

  • Min. of 3 days provided the required teaching assist in Technical course has already been completed.
  • demonstrate good leadership potential during the IDP
  • give at least 2 complete lectures in the Program

NOTE: Non Technical Supervisors must assist 2 courses which 1 is in conjunction with the IDP
