IANTD Tek Sidemount in Dahab

The IANTD Tek Open Water Sidemount course will familiarize the diver with advanced techniques, equipment and mindset required for Technical Sidemount diving. It will enable divers to proficiently assemble and use the equipment configuration. Teach divers the proper techniques to safely conduct decompression dives that warrant the use of Side-mount equipment configuration.

No dives may be conducted to depths greater than diver previous certification level.

Prerequisites IANTD Sidemount:
  • IANTD Advanced Nitrox Diver or equivalent
  • Min. 15 years old (with a parent or guardian authorization) or
  • Min. 21 years old

NOTE: The IANTD Sidemount Program can be combined with the Advanced EANx Diver Program.

Duration:
  • Min. 4 open water dives with a total bottom dive of 160min
  • Two Open Water dives (gear tuning, skills, fining technique, buoyancy & trim).
  • Two Decompression Open Water dives must have either a real or a simulate decompression stop time of a minimum of 10 minutes
  • No dives may be conducted to depths greater than diver previous certification level.
  • Oxygen partial pressure may not exceed the diver’s training level
