SSI Extended Range Foundations

The SSI Foundation program provides all divers with an opportunity to expand their advanced diving skills in a workshop environment. Learn more about using tec equipment with any total diving system you are certified to use, and build upon your basic skill set to master buoyancy, trim, finning techniques, positioning, and communication. The Extended Range Foundations program provides supplementary training to existing certifications to increase diver confidence and in-water control.

Prerequisites SSI Foundation:
  • Min. 16 years old
  • 24 logged dives
  • SSI Open Water Diver or equivalent
  • Have a Recreational Sidemount Diving Specialty certification to use a sidemount configuration or a CCR Diving certification to use a CCR configuration
Requirements For Completion:
  • Complete an equipment configuration session
  • Complete at least 4 pool/confined water sessions, with a cumulative time of at least 240 minutes
